Living & Learning Beyond the Classroom

At UWC Mostar, student wellbeing is supported through dedicated educational initiatives led by the Student Lifestyle Officer. This role was introduced to design and coordinate structured programs that help students develop emotional awareness, healthy relationships, and responsible decision-making, while navigating both personal growth and community life. These initiatives include:

  • Coordinating the overall student wellbeing and lifestyle education framework.
  • Designing preventive, evidence-based programs that build emotional skills, stress management, and healthy daily habits.
  • Leading community education on consent, boundaries, healthy relationships, alcohol responsibility, and personal safety.
  • Training and supervising Peer Supporters and Skills Builders to provide peer guidance and support.

The Student Lifestyle program at UWC Mostar is built on a preventive, educational, and community-centered approach. It equips students with practical, emotional and life skills that support long-term wellbeing, helping them develop emotional regulation, healthy coping strategies, and a stronger sense of responsibility toward themselves and others.

Feedback from students, reflection activities, and well-being surveys are central to the program’s development, ensuring that initiatives remain relevant, responsive, and useful according to their lived experiences.

Learning beyond the classroom prepares students not only for academic success, but for life – with empathy, balance, and responsibility.
