UWC Mostar Short Course Bridging Cultures 2024 is in full swing! With 20 participants, 2 facilitators, 6 volunteers, and a coordinator we are connecting and learning with people from different cities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania. The overarching theme of the course is "Bridging Cultures" - with a reference to the bridge. The bridge, as an important architectural structure in Mostar, but also in every other community, connects two shores, two sides, two communities, and two people. Building on previous courses held at UWC Mostar, we continue to imagine ways we can learn about culture and identity, and ways we can build new communities. As always, providing a quality program for young people is our priority, so our facilitators are selected from the UWC movement and are alumni who individually strive to fulfil the mission of the UWC movement. At the same time, our organizers are using 10 days together to explore what culture and cultural identity means to us. The essence of the topic is learning about diversity through culture and its customs. What is culture is one of the leading questions we face in this short course. Our short course is a combination of sessions in and out of workshop space. Activities in “classrooms” are workshops, and activities outside classrooms are called umbrella groups. To find out more about each day's activities click on the link below images or visit: @Bridging Cultures Short Course. ... See MoreSee Less
